I'm a current 4th year medical student placed out of Newcastle for the second half of the year so I'm looking for someone else in need of somewhere to stay to cover the rent for this time.
The room itself is on the small side; hence the decreased rent, (with a 3/4 size double bed) but it's comfortable enough and there is plenty of storage and a desk elsewhere in the house to use. I've been in the house for the last 2 and a half years and it's never been a problem.
Housemates are a final year medic, final year dentist (both post-grads and female) and a guy who works in Evans Cycles (really handy for all of your bike maintenance needs). Looking for a male or female, young professional or mature student, non-smoking housemate.
It's a 20min walk to town (with good bus links).

The bedroom available is a good size, has a very large comfortable double bed and beautiful wooden fitted wardrobes. Its bathroom is a bright, clean en-suite with a large modern shower unit and lovely mosaic tiles. It also has a pretty east facing Juliette balcony so you can watch the sun rising (if you are up that early!). There is also an aerial point in the room for TV.
The flat is very safe as the tenants downstairs tend to work from home most days so there is nearly always someone in the building. The area is one of the best in London for amenities. A short walk away there is a 24 hour flagship Tesco and 24 hour Sainsbury's, several other supermarkets and numerous picturesque pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. The cinema on Kensington High Street is a 2 minute walk. Holland Park, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are all nearby. Transport links are plentiful, with Kensington High Street, Earls Court and Gloucester Road tube stations and many bus routes all close by. The City and Canary Wharf can be accessed easily - I worked for many years in the City and now am in Canary Wharf and the commute is not difficult. The West End is even closer and in addition to the speedy buses and tubes, can also be reached by a (longish) stroll through the parks if you fancy communing with nature.
I am easy going, laid back and fun. I don't mind living with either a girl or guy but no couples. The rent you would pay is £1200 pcm plus council tax of £92.50 and bills of around £50 a month.

The flatmates are lovely, I have lived with them for three years (from my first year at uni!) with no problems at all. (save the odd hangover!) I am moving out as I am moving in with my boyfriend!
